 Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things..........

 

 

I know you're all dying to get back to work...... NOT! Its so hard getting back into the swing of things after you've had time off. I'm sure you feel lethargic and if you've had a week of two off your body doesn't take too kindly to that old alarm clock again. Well here's where exercise steps in! You know you have to do it & now is THE BEST time to start as its a New Year, Lets create a New You Too!! Start  off by creating a food diary of EVERYTHING you eat. No Cheating now?! 
 
 
 
From this diary you can take a look at what you are really eating and do you need to a) cut back on portions, b) change your food slightly to become healthier or c) eat at times that are going to be better for you.If you are not sure how to work out any of these then please feel free to send your diaries to me and I can help you get on track.
 
 
 
Remember you have to help yourselves first though? I'm not going to help if this is just going to be some 'fad' ?You need to stick with a healthy eating plan if you want to see ANY benefits at all I would recommend at LEAST 8 weeks. Oh and I will hold you to your word!
 
 
 
 
 
Next Step - The Training!
 
 
 
Now you have looked at how much & what your are putting into your body the next step is to work out what your training for? Fat Loss? Toning Up? Just stay healthy?
 
 
 
Well the governement guidelines say to stay healthy you need to be exercising 30 minutes PER DAY. Now we may not all have 30 minutes per day but do you have an hour every other day? even 20 mins per day? My philosphy is you will never HAVE time to exercise you have to CREATE time to exercise...... after all this is the longevity of your life we're talking about here?!
 
 
 
So take a look at your diary and write in your exercise slots as if they were a date with George Clooney / Brad Pitt / Johnny Depp. In other words its an event not to be missed! You need to be committed if you want to receive the results & as my Dad always says "What you put in, You will get Out".
 
 
 
 
Exactly what exercise are you going to do?
 
 
 
I will leave that upto you but use your head?
Anything where you feel slightly out of breath will improve you Cardio Vascular System,
( Heart & Lung efficiency ) & will also burn FAT!
 
 
( Also note any weight bearing exercise will improve bone density - Brittle Bones = Osteoporosis ) 
 
However if you want to improve HOW quickly you burn off that fat you need to do conditioning exercises to improve your metabolism & also 'Tone Up'.
 
 
 
Its all swings & roundabouts really but if you do some form of exercise every day / every other day you WILL see results.
 Lets face it if you've been doing nothing then you do exercise everyday your body will go into shock..... but in a good way - You've forced it to do something about its current state & made it become more efficient, work harder, feel stronger & move quicker....... You will now be a machine......
 
Well not really but you may fit into those little black jeans that are shoved at the back of the wardrobe?
 
 
 
2010 Could be the year where you get into those clothes that you really want or if you work hard enough that 'upside down move' that you watch the other girls do....
 
 
 
Life is what you make it so get on your running shoes & get out there!
